SPC® , our long-lasting, dry solid-lubricant.  Extremely thin, non-migrating coating creates the optimum and permanent coefficient of friction (c.o.f.) between two surfaces.  Reduces metal surface wear by 50-80% and extends the life of metal parts (wheels/rollers, etc.) by minimum 3-5 times.

 

SPC® out-performs conventional greases and oils in dusty environments.  Easy to install and maintenance-free.

 

Applications:  cranes, rail-mounted conveying and warehousing systems, rotating dryers & furnaces, railway vehicles.

 

T-type coatings create a very low c.o.f., resulting in a slippery, sliding effect.

M-type coatings provide enhanced traction where it is needed on wheel treads (i.e., crane drive wheels) and rail heads, preventing the slip-stick effect and lateral wheel migration.

SPC® surface protective products provide a modern, efficient and labor-free method of protecting metal surfaces against wear, flaking and pitting in the most difficult applications areas – in some cases the only feasible method.  The products are a mixture of special components (without graphite) which bond strongly with the metal surfaces and create a pre-determined, optimum coefficient of friction for use on industrial equipment.

Long-lasting and self-applying, SPC®  block units coat metal surfaces with a solid, non-migrating, protective film approximately 10 microns thick.  This coating:

 

(a) maintains a constant, optimum coefficient of friction between the contacting surfaces  – with block type T a low value of ca. 0.05 and with block type M of much higher values up to about 0.35 (enhanced traction to reduce risk of wheel slippage);

 

(b) protects the metal surfaces from flaking, pitting, etc. Manual application with all its disadvantages and costs is not required.  Wear of the metal surfaces is substantially reduced (generally between 50 - 80%), therefore increasing the life of these machine parts 3-5 times.

 

SPC® block units are supplied in various lengths and widths to coat all wheel, roller and rail surfaces.  For very wide surfaces blocks can be mounted adjacent to each other or custom solutions can be offered.  Heavy-duty, spring-loaded, stainless steel applicators are delivered with the blocks.  Installation is usually quite simple and low cost.  Robust and free of sensitive electric sensors, SPC® block units require no special maintenance .  Worker training or modifications of your equipment and its operation are not necessary.
